We want to create artwork that shows the real you. We prefer to shoot on location - either at your home or at a local park, beach etc. We try to stay away from the static "picture" type portraits. They show your likeness but not who you are. I always think of the old portraits of people who lived hundreds of years ago - we know what they look like, but we don't know who they are, what they liked, the real essence of who they were as an individual. I think it is even more important in our ever increasing "be an individual" society to display portraits of who your family is as individuals and as a family. Whether it be your babies first portrait or your grad's senior portrait, we want to know, and show, who you are. Sometimes this means coming to your home and playing with your child, sometimes it means a day at the beach, it all depends on where you see yourself in the moment.
